I am a Teaching Professor and Director of Computing Programs in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University - Arlington. I am helping to establish the Align and MSCS programs for Khoury on the new Arlington campus. I was previously a Professor of Computer Science at the University of San Francisco and a Program Director in the Division of Undergraduate Education at the National Science Foundation where I co-led the NSF Scholarships in STEM (S-STEM) program and worked on the Improving Undergraduate Education program and the Advanced Technical Education program. I teach classes in the areas of Software Development and Distributed Systems. I am passionate about broadening participation in computing, and I am pleased to collaborate on the USF Community Engaged Scholars in Computer Science S-STEM scholarship program.
